New Outfit - Double Bonus

I recently purchased the pattern 'My Kind of Saturday' written by IrishgirlieKnits from our local, Salem area yarn shop Tangled Purls.  I hardly ever buy the suggested yarn for multiple reasons; too expensive; couldn't find it; didn't like the available colors; I do not to mail order.  But this time I decided to and 'twas a good decision.  This yarn is was fun to knit with.  It's a recycled denim fiber called Kollage Yarns Riveting.  Yes... a tad spendy but I have leftovers now that the project is completed.  (This is always a plus in my mind.)

Noted project was quick and simple.  I purchased the pattern mostly to eventually create my own cowl pattern; I've been experimenting for some time now to find the details I like and dislike.  So far there are more dislikes.  It's too bad that photos tend to show a photo-shopped version instead of how it will actually fit.  Hmmm.  My goal is to make items that are real and tell the whole truth.  It should always be a 'one liked by all' finished product.  Simple, practical patterns!

But back to the pattern at hand...and I want to say IrishgirlieKnits did a great job with it!...I feel like it gave me a fun new outfit; and in my definition...shabby sheik. Perfect!  It's always fun to knit a pattern and find it's beautiful but when you can fit it into an outfit and be pleased with that as well it's a double bonus!

And now...as pictured...the cream colored cowl scarf is the finished noted pattern...I wish I could say the sweater is my handiwork too but sadly no.  (Maybe my next project ?!?) Paired it with a white linen shirt and dark-wash blue jeans.  Delightfully comfortable.  The 'Kollage Yarns Riveting' yarn is lite-in-warmth and weight; decidedly perfect for a spring-evening dinner out that it was.

Enjoyable pattern...I would knit it again!
Yarn?...inspiring!
